Use a custom domain
Serve your Pro app from your own hostname with Cloudflare for SaaS.
Custom domains are a Pro feature, with one hostname per app. Only the app owner can manage them, in Console → Settings → Custom domain.
- Add the domain in the Console card.
- At your DNS provider, point a CNAME from your hostname to
domains.outer.now. - Add the TXT ownership and certificate records exactly as shown.
- Press Refresh until the status turns active.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| pending | The hostname or certificate is not validated yet. Check the DNS records, then refresh. |
| active | The domain serves your app. |
| failed | Validation stalled. The reason names the fix: repair DNS and refresh, or remove and re-add. |
The status badges read live from Cloudflare. Subdomains work anywhere; an apex domain needs a provider with CNAME flattening.
Renaming your app keeps its domain, since the binding follows the app. Downgrading to Free or deleting the app removes it.
