title: Who can see your app
description: Unlisted by default, public on Pro, and only owners change it.
---

Every app starts unlisted. Anyone with the link can open it, but search engines ignore it.

| Choice | What it means |
| --- | --- |
| Unlisted | The default. Anyone with the link opens it; search engines stay out (`noindex`). |
| Public | Pro only. The app is listed and indexable. |

1. Open your app settings in the [Console](/get-started/console-tour).
2. Pick Unlisted or Public (Public needs Pro).
3. Save; only the app owner can change this.

Downgrading returns public apps to unlisted. Preview URLs follow the same rules: [Preview deploys](/testing/preview-deploys). Related reading: [Plans](/account/plans).
